In ancient times, draft animals were indispensable for working the lands of the vineyards in the southwest of France. Winemakers relied on trusted beasts of burden to transport heavy loads of grapes in the sloping vineyards. Over the years, the Bastié family transitioned from sellers of pack animals to wine producers. They continued to cultivate their vineyards with the same determination and honor the tradition of their ancestors. They have created an exceptional wine that they named "Grand Bastié" in homage to their roots.
